The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) unveiled today the route for the Canada-wide 45,000-kilometre Olympic Torch Relay. It would really be a dream come true for me to be one of the torchbearers (either during the journey in Greece or in Canada).

In 2010 the Olympic Flame will make a historic 35,000-kilometre, 100-day journey to connect Canadians from coast to coast to coast. Of course, it will all start in Ancient Olympia with the Lighting of the Olympic Flame.

Singapore will host the 1st Summer Youth Olympic Games in 2010. The result was unveiled by IOC President Jacques Rogge at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne. Singapore beat Moscow by 53 votes to 44.
